Subject: Cheap Effective Mic Headsets


I thought I'd share this with everyone...

        Finally decided it was time our company started using proper
headset mics. Went out and priced headsets for Microphones starting at $50.
Not wanting to spend that much, I decided to improvise.

        I purchased pairs of cheapie headphones at a local bargain shop. I
removed the headphone portion of them and attached a bent piece of wire
>from a coathanger wrapped with hockey tape (for comport and safety). I
positioned the coat hanger so it was within a good distance of my mouth and
attached a lav mic to the tip of it so it was facing my mouth and presto! A
neat, cheap and effective mic headset. I'm doing personalized ones for each
puppeteer now. Whole thing cost me (3 headsets) $7 with tax.
