With wireless mics the problem I had was sweat. It would travel down the 
headset cord and get into the openings then corrode everything. A plastic bag 
helps to stop this problem. I agree that wired are best--and cheapest. I too like 
the ATM series because they are repairable on the road. I'm not happy with the 
newest mics; the wires are becoming small, fragile and prone to being pulled out 
by a jerk of the head or over extention of the arm and body.
