Mark,
That seems to be a general trend among puppeteers, always willing to
encourage and share.  My interest began with a correspondance with Paul
McPharlin, years ago.
When I first started attending festivals, in the early '70's, I would stand
at the fringe of a conversation among the "greats" and found that almost
immediately I was in the group and felt right at home.
Perhaps it's the "child" that has to be IN the puppeteer that makes them
(most of them, anyway) gregarious and sharing, no ?
