OH PLEASE !!!!  What, do you think I'm pulling this out of thin air?

Firstly, there are ample warnings in Thurston James' "Prop Builders' Molding
and Casting Handbook" (the molding and casting bible) about using plaster on
body parts and the effects of the heat thereon. Secondly, I know from just
touching the molds that I make that I sure as heck wouldn't want the curing
plaster against my skin for any length of time -- it gets extremely hot!

Now, my experience is limited to using commercial plaster of paris. If there
is another kind of plaster to which you are referring which does not heat up
to uncomfortable levels, then please tell us what it is -- I would genuinely
like to know and I need to learn from those who have been around. Aside from
the baby oil, petroleum jelly, and cheese cloth, are you doing anything else
differently that would be helpful to know about?
