Hi Rose,
I was surprised to see this note as that post was at least a few days
ago.
A teacher on the list happened to mention she was going to do her
Christmas puppet program and not worry about P.C., I responded I was glad to hear it, Mark disagreed, we exchanged a couple posts, and he quit
the subject, but another member jumped in, and we exchanged a few posts.

Then I saw others jumping in there and the possibility of this becoming a
big thing like that freedom of speech thing that was going on for well
over a week with ridiculously long posts (which many people said on the list they would have like to have seen end and I'll bet they would have
appreciated such a note about that).
So I wrote a private message to the other person suggesting we agree that
we're not going to convince each other and end it, and neither of us has
posted anything on the subject since, (I have included a copy of that
private message below for verification).
So, even though I don't know what I did wrong to get singled out for
this, I'll apologize anyway, Apparently, someone must have stewed on
this for a few days and complained to you, so my apologies to them too.
(I was going to send this note privately, but since I was chastised on
the list, I felt I should have the opportunity to defend myself on the
list).

I fear we may have started something the rest of the people on the list
are going to grow tired of soon.
Remember the "free speech exchanges going back and forth? Well, we're
starting to do the same with the political correctness issue and Jim is
back in there about censorship again.
Now I wish I hadn't sent my last reply to your last post, not that I
don't believe in it, but for the sake of ending it.
If you feel you owe me another reply, that's up to you of course, unless
you get downright insulting, I don't intend to reply.
Instead, I'd rather end it with us agreeing that we're obviously not
going to convince each other before the rest of the members of the list
get annoyed with us.
