They always set me up in the nearby high school auditorium, with many more seats than they have children. Since they are a year-round school, I always performed for them in August. Here's the situation that caused me some consternation... Last Friday after I arrived and set up, my hostess informed me that they had invited one of the other local elementary schools to join them in seeing my show. My fees are based on the performance , not the audience size, but I felt that I had been slighted by not being told in advance that another 350 + kids, from another school, would be in the theater during the 2 shows. What do you people think? Is this ethical on the part of the school? Is it impolite? Am I seeing a mountain in place of a mole hill? How would you have handled this? Have you ever seen the need to deal with this type of situation before?
