Subject: Puppet Stages - need design ideas

Hi,

I am a high school student and plan to build puppet stages for some
elementary schools in the area for my Eagle (Boy Scouts) project. I
have searched the net for puppet stage plans with no luck but I did
find some plans in several books at the public library: Bodor's
Creating and Presenting Hand Puppets; Mulholland's Practical Puppetry;
and Wall, White and Philpott's The Puppet Book: a practical guide to
puppetry. These plans are not very detailed and may not have all the
features a really good puppet stage should have.

The stages I hope to build should be rugged enough for use and abuse
by a lot of little kids and they should fold up for out of the way
storage. They would be for hand puppets and not neccessarily for
marionettes. They will be big enough for both children and adults
to use.

Can any of you recommend books, plans, or resources other than what
I have found so far? I would welcome any suggestion on important
features of a good puppet stage as well. Please send replies to me
at rsf-AT-swbell.net or to my dad at robert.fleming-AT-oryx.com

Thank you in advance for your help.
