Hi. I'm new to the list and have some questions that will probably seem
"beginner level" to most of you, but that's where I'm at.

I've written a number of puppet scripts for various companies, but now
I'm finally putting together a show to do myself. It's a one-man
hand-puppet show (with some rod and shadow puppets thrown in), really
raunchy, sort of a mix of Punch and Ubu and Charles Ludlam. It's a
quick-change show with a number of special effects, so I don't have free
hands for fancy set-up.

Could anyone offer suggestions on easy and safe ways to do a
fire-breathing dragon and some sort of flashpot rig for magical
transformations (preferably with some sort of foot pedal)? I'm in a
very small booth, and I don't want it or myself to burn.

Thanks!

Brian Drake
