Hi all,

Within the confines of a very small hand puppet stage, the options
regarding smoke and
fire effects are somewhat limited to say the least.
The talc/ rice powder/ cornstarch option was simply offered as a
traditional means of achieving this kind of effect. A very small CO2
cartridge has also been utilized for smoke based...aka, gaseous
transformations.
The good thing about CO2 is it's rapid disipation without any noxious
residue. There are of course the commercial smoke machines; the one most
widely used is made by ROSCO. But again..within the confines of a very
small puppet booth..the residual smoke could be overwhelming.
There ARE viable solutions that are safe AND effective out there.
We all just have to do a bit of research to find them.

                                                 Peace,
                                           Steve Weber
