Maine, is practically synonymous with "The Maine Stein Song" (at least for people from Maine and others with a thirst for minutiae). When I was there in the early 70s, the Gays and Lesbians on campus started a very active organization called "The Wilde Stein Club"- after the much admired Oscar and Gertrude. It offended many and STILL makes me laugh! And Preston, you know I totally agree with you about materials, but then, we both came out of theatre programs. And let us not forget that Monsieur Genty has ALSO gotten more support from the French Gouvernement than you and I combined are likely to make in a lifetime. Andrew PS: You and I combined . . . Now there's a Siamese twin that would strike fear into the hearts of decent people everywhere! --- Personal replies to: A & B Periale <perryalley-AT-rscs.net> --- List replies to: puptcrit-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu --- Admin commands to: majordomo-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu
