Dear Soothsayers:

There are a lot of reasons to reject technology. If: no autos=no
accidents, no airplanes=no crashes, no email=no spam, etc. When I get junk
snail mail at home, I toss it. If naked coeds turn you off, use a filter or
the delete key (but don't assume no one wants it.... obviously someone does
or the suppliers would not be in business.) But besides, everyone knows
puppeteers have no money for "naked coeds." So instead of rejecting, lets try
to find a way to make it work.

The directories are out there, and anyone who wants to join our
organizations can have one... Is the price for freedom of information
censorship?

Seriously folks, the advantages of making email/pho.numbers, etc.
easily available to our members outweigh the spam complaint. Is it not a
fact that the Directories are outdated as soon as they are published? Same
would be true on CD or if Internet were not updated. What's the difference?
I hate dragging around my directories just to send you a friendly post card
when I travel. :-)

I especially like Joe's & Steve's posts, lots of additional
ideas...but do you think streaming video, video conferencing and such are a
long way off? I'll be sooner than you think. (MP3 encoding software, I
read, is available at: www.xintech.com. The application is AudioCatalyst
1.01.
