HI to all:

I don't know that there is really a big difference of opinion about this
digital business after all. Probably nobody is really against some orientation
or instruction for puppeteers on the various uses for computers..
publishing, accounting, sound, internet + whatever else. We differ in our
opinions about
how in depth the classes should be. I must admit that Jim Gamble's
first communication on the subject aroused in me (mistakenly) the idea
of computer talk and instruction up and down the halls at a fest. I already
have technology coming at me from every direction. I can't sit down to dinner
with the family without some shop talk from someone about computer issues
at work. I myself worked as a programmer for years and my degree is in computer
science. I go to a festival to learn about puppets and performance and
many aspects of theater. THAT is what seems special about a festival to me. Also
very special is the opportunity to spend time with creative people. Computers?
Duh, boring, can get that anywhere, that's all I meant.

Dori
