When they call and ask for it, I ask them if they know the story of Punch. If they don't, I explain to them in exact detail the plot of my version. Punch and Judy are married, Judy leaves the baby with Punch and the baby won't stop crying so Punch throws the baby out the window, Judy comes back finds that Punch has thrown the baby out the window so they argue and Punch kills Judy, then the hangman comes to punish Punch but Punch tricks him and hangs the hangman, then the devil comes to take Punch to Hell but Punch kills the Devil. The End. (I also have a crocodile, but I leave that as a surprise.) But, I say, it is all done with humor and the children love it. If they still want to book the show at that point it is up to them. And I have booked the show. Preston Hartz wrote: > I was wondering whether anyone does Punch and Judy at > birthday parties? I guess a rewritten script?
