Both my partner Mark and I come to this wonderful art form with theatre 
backgrounds.  I find not only does acting training help in creating 
character, but directing training helps in knowing how to put a show together 
in a way that will reach the audience.  Understanding basic elements of 
theatre can only benefit a performer that hopes to touch an audience in some 
way.
