Subject: PUPT: Re: puppeteer training

Well, I have to say it, I have no formal training in art or theater and
neither does Tom. My formal education is in Biological Sciences. Tom's is in
Electrical Engineering. However, we did do an informal apprenticeship with
George Neff and we had been performing musicians for years before we quit our
"real jobs" to go into puppetry. I don't know what that says about our
puppetry, but we're performing to over 100,000 people a year. Formal training
would have been nice and we might have even done it had we known we were
going to become full time performers.

We do dance! We've been Irish dancing for over 10 years for fun and exercise.
Some of that involves original choreography for performance. Does that count?
