Some of it is schools, but actually most of my theater work goes away
too.  The theaters all seem to close down for the summer season.  Unless
they are doing summer stock, but there's no market for puppets there. 
I'm frantically busy from August - May and then there's nothing.

Isn't that the truth.  I am constantly amazed at how much more respect
you get for charging people than not.  "You get what you pay for" is a
two way cliche, I guess.
