Hi Joe and all,

Yes Joe, The "blown" on flocking will stick to the adhesive in a more
or less random pattern and render a suede-like appearance....
whereas flock which has been electrostatically charged will attach
"root" end down...just like a hair follicle. This gives a "nappier",
fuzzier look to the surface.

But believe me when I say that the difference
'on camera' is just as effective and attractive either way. Think of it
as apples and oranges.
Just as long as your application is uniform and even, it will televise
beautifully!

I would recommend however, that for hand blown flocking one utilize a
much finer (i.e. shorter) flocking fibre....about 1/16 ". Also be aware
that you can interblend different colors of flock to create any
intermediate colors or shades you require.

                           Peace,
                      Steve Weber
