All the sexual symbolism and awakening etc. is in Bettleheim's book. In
fact if I remember correctly (which I probably don't) one of his
hypothesis is, when a child keeps requesting the same story over and
over again it is an indication of what the child is unconsciously trying
to deal with.
It is an interesting read. Never helped me to do a show though...found
it better to crack the fairy tales..

And make people laugh
