My understanding of Roser's use of three point suspension is simply that
when you attach one string to a ball, you have control of the object up and
down, forwards and back. Two strings allow you to spin the ball and tilt it
from side to side in addition to the previous movement. when you place
three strings on a ball, or a puppet head, you have complete control.
Almost any possition can be achieved with the exception of absolute
inversion. The placement of these strings varies depending on the weitht
distribution of the object, ballence being more important than simitry. The
weight and atachment point of the body of the puppet also come into play.
If the weight is balanced equally between the three strings, then the
object will react quickly to string input, and with complete control.
