Almost everyone rents a space one way or another. In struggling to define this issue a Puppeteers of Amercia committee developed the question along these lines. "If I were a member of the general public, or a tourist in a city, where would I be able look for puppetry on a regular basis?" If a company is in one place long enough to publish a series of shows, a season, then we considered them a permanent theatre. The factors were: 1. Some kind of bricks and mortar physical presence, & 2. a regular performance schedule in the SAME place.
