plain thin acrylic should be fine... but you can add a bit of liquid latex.
One convenient source of a small amount is Eyelash adhesive... available as
Duo Surgical adhesive...at drug stores.
Be sure to powder it ( when dry) with baby powder, because it's stickey.

You can also use fabric paint extender.
