I have used it on my punch and judy stage and, if light from the front or used outdoors, appears completely opaque. However, it is an open weave fabric and the puppeteer can see through. I believe it comes in various weights, and is often used as decorative material on hats. It should be available at your local fabric store. The resaon for organdy over scrim? Scrim has a very coarse weave with huge pores and is more useful for large theatrical productions. I don't think it would work well in a puppet theater application. ----- Original Message ----- From: <VeenaCava-AT-aol.com> To: <puptcrit-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu> Sent: Friday, June 16, 2000 7:04 AM Subject: Re: PUPT: Toy Theater Construction Material Question > Dear David, > > Thank you very much.
