Hi all! We have an internship opportunity opening in the fall - it would be a 
great way to learn soft-foam puppet construction and sculpting, model making 
and some animatronics. If you know anyone who would qualify, please pass it

**Unfortunately, we are only able to accept people currently enrolled in a 
Canadian University or college. There are no exceptions.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY 
Character/Prop Design Assistant

    Omle Media’s Character Shop is a small, dynamic workshop in Toronto that 
designs and builds character effects for the productions of our parent 
company (Omle Media) as well as for outside clients in the film and 
television, theatre, and live event industries around the world. 

    We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented individual for a four-month 
internship as an assistant in our shop. The successful candidate will be 
organized, mature, flexible, and have a great sense of humor. We look for 
people 

    This position involves assisting The Production Designer and other 
artists with the design, construction and installation of a wide variety of 
character effects, props and sets. Techniques utilized will include soft-foam 
construction, wood and metal work as well as limited sculpting, mold making 
and animatronics.

    Previous experience is not necessary, however a strong background in art 
and a keen, practical design sensibility is. This is an unpaid internship, 
however the successful candidate will be paid a small honorarium upon 
completion of the internship and there is a possibility of employment 
following the internship.

    Although preference will be given to those individuals currently enrolled 
in post-secondary program in Communications, Theatre or Fine Arts in the 
province Ontario, we welcome applications from any post-secondary student in 
Canada.

    The internship will run from September 5 to December 15, 2000. To apply
