If not, go introduce yourself. In July, go to the Regional Festival which will be held at Stonehill College in Easton, MA-- http://www.puppeteers.org/festivals/ne-midatl.htm There will be 11 performances there from all over the Northeast, as well as a swell company from Portland, OR. Talk to as many people as you can there. Going to work for other puppet companies for a while to learn the ins and outs of the business can be really valuable. Even doing an internship with an established artist or company can be great-- not only for what you learn, but for the connections you'll make. As far as the "art" part goes . . . well, if you wen to RISD I guess you can already do that. Courage!
