Subject: RE: PUPT: Painting Metal Date: Mon, 21 Jan 2002 14:52:59 -0600 I also use shrink tube for covering rods. When I first started using, this was extremely hard to find, in sufficient quantity and small diameter I use for welding rods, except at an electrical supply store. I say sufficient quantity because I need some length for the arm control rods and you just couldn't (can't still??) buy a package at a hardware store locally. I don't, however, find that it affects the flex in the rods I use; that's dependent on the diameter and weight of the arm being controlled/moved. Do you find that it changes the flex of the metal drastically? Liz K.
