I believe paperclay is the grey finely ground "flour" (my description) that, 
when mixed with water becomes papier mache.  For anything very large, it 
becomes a bit heavy unless you use it for making features over a papier mache 
(or other non flexible material) which is hollow.  I've used it from time to 
time for features when I am in a hurry.   (Adding some heat to the mixture 
makes it dry faster.)  
    It can be found at craft and hobby stores: Aaron Brothers, Michael's,
