Subject: PUPT: RE:Mini-PAR Date: Tue, 19 Feb 2002 13:10:37 -0500 I like the aluminum mini-pars from http://www.highoutput.com. They're a little longer than some, which means media last longer. I don't use barn-doors, but make custom flaps from black wrap or broiler weight aluminum sprayed with barbeque black. These instruments are commonly called "birdies" in the lighting trade and can sometimes be picked up used at large rental services. Check the sockets and the strain relief on the power cord. Also these are so light you can replace the yoke for direct mounting and just screw a sheet-metal angle bracket to the scenery or the ceiling. Bend the end at right angles. "That's the way to do it!" _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com --- Personal replies to: "will stackman" <profwill66-AT-hotmail.com> --- List replies to: puptcrit-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu --- Admin commands to: majordomo-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu --- Archives at: http://lists.village.virginia.edu/~spoons
