Subject: PUPT: foam and latex

I recently used the under-carpet foam (great texture and it was free) painted with liquid latex to make undulating rolls of fat for a naked psychic puppet... it was wonderfully strong and flexible, but I had trouble getting paint to stick to it - tried acrylic, and it peeled off. spray paint seemed to work better, but also flaked. any thoughts out there? I'm new to all this and doing everything by the seat of my pants (both technically and financially)
thanks!

Foam construction inside with a molded, foamed latex skin outside.

Animatronics done with larger servos (like 105's).
