Subject: PUPT: Spring Steel


Gosh folks, all those contributions made for a colorful spring steel thread. Tying up the loose ends here with a miraculously easy-anywhere answer to the original question.
Did it all start with someone who wanted to mount dangly bobbing insects from a hat? This would mean small amounts of relatively light "music wire", which they don't call that for nothin'. If you aren't fortunate enough to know anybody who occasionally busts guitar strings, you could always trot on down to your local instrument shop and splurge a buck on a G string. The expense can be justified by using left-overs as valentines day attire.
