Hello All,

I just wanted to pass along some sad news from Canada to the list. Karen Ohland, a very talented artist, puppet builder and teacher from Toronto passed away recently at the age of 54. Karen was involved in puppetry here for many years, working with the Muppets in the 1980s as well as numerous other television projects and commercials in Canada and the United States in more recent years. Unfortunateky I did not have the opportunuity to get to know Karen very well myself, but everyone I know who did know or work with her admired her both as a person and as an artist.

A short, touching memorial for Karen was posted on the website of the Sheep Shop, where Karen had worked since 1989. The URL is http://www.sheepshop.ca/profile.html
