Wayong,  Christopher is right.  Writing a book gets your foot in the door
and opens doors.   With my book "Fun Puppet Skits for Schools and Libraries"
I am speaking at school library conferences all over the United States.  I
have been invited to a special day at the Houston Public Library to speak
and they want 150 copies of my book for the participants.  They will pay all
my expenses and my trip from Michigan.  Write the book.  You won't get rich,
