Date: Thu, 18 Apr 2002 08:29:30 -0400 Subject: PUPT: Real To Life construction Hi all, I have a couple of questions for those designers and builders who have been constructing real to life animals for film stand ins. Renaissance Artist is about to bid on our first project of this nature. I have no concerns with making the animal look real, but I will probably want to bring someone on board to collaborate on the Mechs. So, here is the question. I want to make sure that my bid includes a fair salary for someone with this kind of experience. Can I get a ballpark figure from some of you what that might be? I have mechanical experience, but am almost certain that the job will require someone with Servo experience, at least in the facial movements. The second question, is, does anyone know of anyone on the east coast Preferably (NY, NJ, PA, DE, or MD) that might be interested in coming on board for this project? Most of the People I know are on the West Coast, and I'm trying to keep this project a bit more compact than that. Thank you in advance for everyone's assistance in this. Oh, Everybody say Hooray, it looks like Renaissance Artist is Getting their very own, custom designed studio to replace our two current work spaces. Thanks again, Liz -- K.
