One last comment on this topic:
When you clear security at various airports they sometimes put stickers on
your bags.  I leave all of these stickers on the bags for future flights
with the thought that if they see that I have cleared security before and
the bags haven't blown up or anything (since they are still there) then
maybe they will be less suspicious.  I don't know if that makes any
difference, but we have had pretty much no problems.  I think if I was a
baggage checker and saw that someone was a frequent traveler I would be more
inclined to think they were who they said they were.  I also hold my face in
the "harmless" position.
