Date: Tue, 9 Apr 2002 00:14:34 +0100 Subject: PUPT: Saws-all Thanks everyone for the incredible outburst of wisdom on the subject of musical saws. Just minutes after posting that email, I found my way to the wentworth/musicsaw websit, so I think I have all my questions answered. Luckily, for my neighbors, I am not the one that is going to be playing (merely the one plying the credit card.) The player is a traditional Chinese erhu (two-stringed fiddle) player. I wonder if there is any correlation between the tones you get on a musical saw and the tones of a Chinese folk musical scale? I don't suppose there's a website that answers that one.
