  In general, you need a special program to edit the music.  CakeWalk Home
Studio is one.  You might even have received one like that to go along with
your sound card's drivers.  However, this is not a quick and easy thing to
do... expecially if you have no prior experience with MIDI keyboard.
  Also, to clear up one common misunderstanding. A MIDI file is notation,
not an actual recording of a performance.  That is why it is possible to
re-arrange it with a MIDI editor.
  However, a sound recording (such as a WAV file or MP3) is the computer
equivalent of a cassette tape.  You can do some editing, but not do things
like change the tempo or chord progression at the ending.
