Subject: PUPT: rosin paper - change?

My latest batch of rosin roll paper seems different. It's the non-bark kind. It takes much longer to soften & all the red doesn't leave the paper (another roll used to go grey & had a nice, slightly mushy texture). I used to boil it for 15-20 minutes & was good to go. Now, it's 45 min (altitude makes it longer) & still not flexible enough. Anyone else find this so?
