Subject: PUPT: Sound Systems


Hi, I'm at the point where I need to invest in a portable sound system that
will accommodate 2-3 performers.  This electronic stuff is all Greek to me.
What are the hazards of going "cheap" vs. "what I might need in a couple of
years".  I'd like to spend between 500 and 1000 dollars, but if I need to go
higher I'll just have to save a little longer. I will use this for outside
and large meeting hall types of venues. Any experiences you can share, both
good and bad, concerning outlets, extension cords, battling for air time
with the band next door, etc. is greatly appreciated.  Val
