I'd check out www.marsmusic.com and www.guitarcenter.com . both places have 
everything you and also see if they have sound system packages.  Most come 
with power amp, speakers and a mic. and both places can tell you which sounds 
systems put out and which ones do not.  i personally have a mackie power amp 
with 6 channels, 2 speakers and a walkman tape player or sony discman which 
is more than enough for most puppet venues.  i also use the same system to DJ 
weddings and other events.  but by all means AVOID RADIO SHACK AT ALL COSTS.  
because in the end it'll cost ya.  ive had the same sound system for 6 years;
