It's very portable and will play to nice sized groups indoors or outdoors (though you need to plug this one in!). I've been using mine for four year and would happily make the same purchase again. Musicians are always checking out my system -- they really like the sound output! I use a CD player and a wireless mic with mine. Good luck!
