Scissors and brushes for furs and hair.  The beauty supply scissors are
really sharp and useful for giving a good cut.

Thanks for the tip, we actually just picked one up because we needed to buy
something at a beauty supply place we had a $150 credit note (any ideas on
how to spend $70 in a beauty supply place - they have NOTHING we can use
`cept a whole lotta shampoo).

Though I didn't dye the fleece myself, we don't generally agitate during
dying for this very reason. The pilling seems to happen more as a result of
the rinsing/wringing process. We considered using an old-fashioned
wringer-washer but the dye we use explictly advised not to do so. This seems
to only happen with the 14oz fleece.
