On the CU you could even see moles and freckles. You probably noticed the lack of facial movement. The funny thing is, that the Shrek animators had developed a new program that build the characters using a realistic facial muscles, while FF concentrated on texturing. If the two had gotten together, which no doubt they will in future projects, both would have been crazy real! The only place where CG threatens puppetry is when dealing with live actor type projects. I just hope that CG people will remember that making a character real is more that texture, and puppeteers will continue to play a role in working out movements for the animators to translate into data.
