Subject: PUPT: Re:Stiffening shadow screen Date: Sun, 16 Jun 2002 17:43:39 -0400 "Sizing" a shadow screen with white glue, presumably to make it more opaque may not be the best solution. If the muslin is new, a 1 to 6 mix is what we sometimes use to prepare scenery for a primer coat. That fills the fabric and doesn't crack visibly. For s screen that won't be painted, spray starch might be an option. Most times when I'm using cloth, which I prefer, I use clean bedsheets, washed once and ironed with no additives. Are you trying to get a screen that will diffuce light enought so the source won't be visible as a hot spot behind the screen? _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp. --- Personal replies to: "will stackman" <profwill66-AT-hotmail.com> --- List replies to: puptcrit-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu --- Admin commands to: majordomo-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu --- Archives at: http://lists.village.virginia.edu/~spoons
