I use white a vinyl shower curtain for my shadow screens. It diffuses light
beautifully with no hot spots, it's dirt cheap, and you can wash off smudges
easily. You do have to be careful to have no sharp points or edges on the
puppets, though; it's possible to poke a hole in the screen.
