Goal To explore how the art of puppetry can be used to celebrate, respect and reflect the racial and cultural diversity of our society. Celebrate - an invitation to people of all cultural groups to participate, share, tell stories, eat good food, make friends and have fun. Respect - use the medium of traditional puppetry to address some of the issues around diversity and multiculturalism, at the same time validate the traditions concerned: i.e.: attaining literacy and fluency in English racism and intolerance citizen's rights and privileges. Reflect - to offer cultural learning through the medium of traditional puppetry, thus encouraging tolerance and understanding.
