Subject: PUPT: RE:Mirrors for shadows Date: Fri, 05 Jul 2002 12:20:13 -0400 A brief synopsis. The size of the mirror needed depends on the size of the screen and/or the distance of the throw. Then the size of the filament and brightness of the source must be considered. Two cheap solutions. 1) Seek out unused ferreotype plates at old-time photosupply places. You never know what they've got in the basement. Clean and polish with the finest grade chrome polish you can find. Fairly flexible and very unbreakable. 2)Go to a commercial supplier of architectural plastics and check the odds and ends/scrap. Mirror tiles come up to 16"; locally the odd lots go for a coupla bucks. Try to find ones that still have the protective film. I'll try to expand on my technote at http://MasterWill.blogspot.com "That's the way to do it!" _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com --- Personal replies to: "will stackman" <profwill66-AT-hotmail.com> --- List replies to: puptcrit-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu --- Admin commands to: majordomo-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu --- Archives at: http://lists.village.virginia.edu/~spoons
