Subject: PUPT: more on the cartoon

Thanks to all for the replies. I am delighted to have THE NEW YORKER
cartoon web site. Robert's insight into the cartoon and cartoonist is
particularly satisfying.

Despite a suggestion that I am only "seeing spots before my eyes,"
(Thanks, Ax) I have the printed cartoon from the actual, not virtual,
magazine in front of me and there are two spots -- like snake eyes or
fang marks. There are no spots on the cartoon on the web site.
