Date: Mon, 1 Jul 2002 21:23:51 -0700 Subject: Re: PUPT: Painting Silk I'm going to assume it's for scenery... if it has to be washed you'll have to use fabric dyes. ...otherwise you have a lot of freedom. an easy way to do the lines is with black gutta resist made for silk painting. it will keep the dye from spreading outside the lines. with silk that light... the colour will go through the silk no matter what. to stretch it... use push pins or thumbtacks on a wooden frame like artist canvas stretcher bars... there are great books on silk painting...
