Subject: Re: PUPT: Painting Silk

Please do not make any move on this subject yet. It will take me about thirty
minutes to compose a sufficient answer on this question. It is the technique
I use, and have studied at length. Unfortunately, I am on the road until
around 4:30 Central time, and cannot pull my catalogues to give a good
answer. You will have some very specific purchases to make. I will tell you
one thing, though, you will have to steam the silk, so when going over the
Dharma catalogue, study the silk steamer material. The silk you are thinking
about is a little too light for what you want. You will want to use habotai,
so look into that. Also, you will probably want to use Pebeo silk dyes, so
examine the colors. Let me know what color palette you are considering and I
can assist you more specifically. I'll name books and specific brands later.
