    I have the Mexican Mask book by Cordry and I manipulated some of his 
puppets for the video that accompanied the exhibit that toured since the 1980 
Washington UNIMA Festival and was originally in the video for the Corcoran 
Gallery.   It's now in Atlanta a the Center..... The marionettes were quite 
small, but worked fairly well.  It's obvious to me the Dwiggins and Cordry 
and other did well with what they had to work with...mostly wood, but today 
there are so many new products and improvments in construction and stringing 
technique....that it's a shame puppeteers keep going back to what was used 50 
years ago...Jim Gamble
