These are the kinds of lights that have lenses in them. There are tabs on the side called shutters that allow you to close in the edges of the beam. You should be able to adjust them town to a slit for the curtain of light. The drawback for puppeteers is that these are not small, compact units. They also have a fairly narrow beam, compared to something like what Jim Gamble uses. So the light can't just be mounted to the stage.
